If you’ve ever been a passenger in a car driving the back-roads of the gold country, you know this feeling. The terrain seems to be rushing by and one golden rolling hill merges into the next. The terrain mimics the clouds and the clouds returning the favor. With that much beauty it feels as if the path to heaven is straight up.

This painting came about when we were traveling in our old 31 foot Air Stream and got lost. It was getting late we were tired and we were not being kind to each other. The sun was going down and being lost on the Sacramento Delta with all of the narrow roads on top of levy’s…not fun…. Thankfully it was still bright enough to capture the photo…. We sold the trailer after that trip.
